Lukian Pudliak — 19th Chairman,
Lukian is a PhD researcher in Law at Trinity College Dublin and serves as the Chairman of the 19th Session of the TCD Law Student Colloquium. His academic and research interests span constitutional law, human rights law, environmental and climate law, public international law, and Islamic/Sharia law, with a particular focus on the interaction between legal systems, fundamental rights and emerging global challenges.
As Chairman, Lukian provides the overall leadership, direction, and public representation of the Colloquium while ensuring the continuity, integrity, and effective functioning of the organization. Under the Colloquium’s Constitution, the Chairman coordinates and supervises the work of Committee members, oversees the implementation of Committee decisions, and may take appropriate organizational measures where necessary to maintain effective operations.
Lukian’s role also involves supporting the Colloquium’s core mission of promoting legal scholarship, academic exchange, professional development, and public engagement. The organization aims to provide a platform for students, researchers, and partners to contribute to legal thought and academic discussion through conferences, lectures, seminars, workshops, competitions, publications, and other initiatives. As Chair, Lukian is committed to fostering an environment based on academic freedom, collegiality, integrity, inclusion, respect, and responsible governance, while strengthening opportunities for students across undergraduate and postgraduate levels to participate in the academic life of the Colloquium.
His leadership focuses on developing the Colloquium as a student-led academic platform for legal discussion, collaboration, and professional development, while protecting its long-term continuity, reputation, and institutional integrity.

Following an ultimatum issued by Professor Oran Doyle on the 3rd of June 2026, the previous committee members were forced to resign under the threat of disciplinary consequences if they remained in their positions. The ultimatum included a warning that disciplinary proceedings will be initiated against Trinity students who do not resign by the 4th of June 2026 5pm.
As a result, the previous committee members resigned under threat of disciplinary action. Until this matter is properly addressed and resolved, information concerning the 19th Emergency Committee – TCD Law Student Colloquium will remain confidential, with the exception of the Chair.
